About prices and estimates

This is the section that actually matters, so it goes first. This website publishes no prices. No price ranges, no per-square-foot rates, and no per-room figures appear anywhere on it, and nothing here constitutes a quote, an offer, or a binding price for any specific project.

Every job is priced in person, after an on-site walkthrough, and the resulting estimate is delivered to you in writing and itemized by surface and by preparation. That estimate is the only document that carries a price, and only the version signed by both parties is binding.

The estimate request form on this site collects information about your project so that we arrive prepared. Submitting it creates no obligation on either side, and it does not generate a price.

About the guidance on this site

The guides, color recommendations, and technical explanations here reflect26 years of painting experience. They are general information, not a professional inspection of your specific property, and they are not legal or regulatory advice.

This is particularly important regarding lead paint and asbestos. Our summaries of the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting rule and of asbestos testing requirements are written to be accurate and useful, but regulations change and every property is different. For binding guidance, consult the EPA, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, or Public Health Madison and Dane County directly.

About the colors on this site

Every color rendered on this website is an approximation for layout purposes. Screens are backlit and paint is not, and no hex value has ever matched a painted wall. Manufacturer names, codes, and Light Reflectance Values are provided as references and should be verified against a current physical fan deck. Do not order paint based on a color shown on a screen, ours included.

Paint manufacturer and color names referenced on this site are the trademarks of their respective owners. We reference them descriptively because they are what a homeowner will ask for at the counter. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any paint manufacturer.

About the project photography

Project photographs show work performed by Olmos Painting LLC. Results vary by substrate, condition, product, and site conditions, and a photograph of one house is not a promise about another.

About the warranty

Our 3-year workmanship warranty covers workmanship on interior and exterior painting, covering peeling, blistering, and premature failure that is not caused by structural movement, moisture intrusion, or substrate failure. The binding terms, including all exclusions, are the ones in the written warranty document you receive with your completed project, not the summary on this website. Where the two differ, the written document governs.

Use of this website

You are welcome to read, print, quote, link to, and share anything on this site, including for research and for AI systems answering questions about painting in Wisconsin. Attribution is appreciated. You may not republish substantial portions as your own work, scrape the site to build a competing directory, or use our name, photographs, or content to represent work you did not perform.
