Accessibility

We build this site to be usable by everyone, and we would rather tell you specifically what we have done than post a generic accessibility statement that commits to nothing.

What is built in

• Color contrast. Every text color on this site was chosen against its background to meet or exceed the WCAG AA ratio of 4.5 to 1. The palette is documented with its contrast ratios in the stylesheet, so the check happens when a color is added rather than after a complaint.
• Keyboard navigation. Everything on this site is operable without a mouse, including the photo lightbox, the before-and-after sliders, the FAQ accordions, and the cost estimator. Focus outlines are visible and never removed.
• The before-and-after sliders are real range inputs. They work with arrow keys and are announced correctly by screen readers, rather than being a drag gesture that assistive technology cannot reach.
• The FAQ accordions are native disclosure elements. They work before JavaScript loads, and browser find-in-page can open a closed answer to reveal a match inside it.
• Reduced motion is honored. If your system requests reduced motion, every animation on this site is disabled, including the scroll-driven color rail and the marquee.
• Pinch-zoom is not disabled. The viewport allows zooming up to five times. Locking zoom is one of the most common and most damaging mobile accessibility mistakes and we do not do it.
• Alternative text on photography. Every project photo carries descriptive alt text written by a person. Our build refuses to publish an image whose alt text is missing or too short to be meaningful.
• Text scales. Layouts use relative units, so increasing your browser's text size reflows the page rather than clipping it.
• Two languages. Every core page has a Spanish version with correct language markup, so screen readers announce it in the right language rather than reading Spanish with English pronunciation.

Where we know we are not perfect

Automated testing catches a fraction of real accessibility problems. We have not yet completed a full audit with assistive technology users, and until we have, we are not going to claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. What we can say is that the criteria above are implemented deliberately and tested.
